Employers Risk Services is a third party administrator providing claims handling, medical bill repricing, medical management, loss control, reinsurance marketing, cobra administration, and disease management.
Employers Risk Services was established in 1993 working under the ownership of Van Meter Insurance, established in 1977.
In 2006, Houchens Industries purchased Employers Risk Services and Van Meter Insurance and Houchens Insurance Group was created as a holding company for ERS and VMI.
Our claims adjusters provide over 60 years of claims experience and maintain all license requirements in multiple states. Each adjuster is experienced with catastrophic claims management, federal and state black lung, fraud identification, third party subrogation recovery, effective settlement negotiations, and litigation management.
Our adjusters maintain a close working relationship with each customer and fully understand the necessity of accurate reserving and prompt claim conclusion.
Employers Risk Services provides workers’ compensation medical bill review services on a national basis to insurance companies and self-insured employers.
Our Loss Control team is made up of three experts in the field with over fifty years of experience and the ability to focus on Work Comp, Property, Liability, and Risk.
Our Cobra department is responsible for providing documentation for termed qualifying events. The process includes monitoring Cobra timeframes, payments, and premiums. It is offered online with ACH availability, along with direct communication with the participant, Human Resources, CSR’s, and brokers.
